Held April 6
Learn this traditional Eastern European art form created using the Ukranian wax-resist method, where designs are "written" on the egg with hot wax and then dyed, revealing beautiful folk art.

The Ukrainian name for a wax-resist type egg, pysanka, comes from the verb pysaty (писати), meaning "to write", as the designs are written onto the egg with beeswax, not painted on.

You will learn the entire process in-depth from Marcia Beal, and will be able to take your creations home for a superb Easter display. Cost is $40 per person if you are a

They will move and change shape along with the elements coming through your windows. On hot days, they’ll wiggle and warp. On cold days, they’ll hug their shoulders and say, “brrrr!” Not just for windows, make a bunch and make a mobile!

In this workshop you’ll walk our lawn and summer gardens and choose your own botanical ingredients for your catchers. Then you’ll put them together as you want them to be. Imagine and make any picture you fancy. You’ll go home with your own botanical treasure, plus full instructions for how to easily do more at home at any time, while learning a little plant science along the way.

When you make them at home, will you have to spend on lots of crafting supplies?

No - the only bought element for these is low-cost powdered gelatin from the grocery store. Otherwise, all-natural ingredients you collect yourself -  earth-friendly.
