The Ruth Wells Center for the Arts is a non-profit membership and volunteer-based cultural arts association. We are fully dedicated to perpetuating the arts through our annual events, exhibits and workshops; along with collaborating with other local cultural art centers and institutions.
Our events and educational programs are for people of all ages and skill levels. They are scheduled throughout the calendar year, including evenings and weekends. Classes, workshops, and programs are taught by professional practicing artists who are well recognized in their area of expertise.
It is our goal to enrich and enlighten through creative exploration of all the artistic disciplines.
Haunted Halls

Time to climb out of your crypts and tank up on formaldehyde for our annual Halloween Haunted Halls opening party! Enjoy a night of art, fun, games, prizes, cash raffle, music, thrills and chills! This madhouse mash opens up our month-long October exhibition, featuring haunted original works and assorted quirks that capture the creepy, weird, eerie, and festive spirit of Halloween and the Autumn season. You never know what may await you...
Join us in your best costume to have a chance to win our costume contest and go home with a prize box! Top three take home top horrors.
Horrors d'oeuvres and spirits, liquid and ethereal!
DJs Wurlin Disc will be spinning a goreius selection of original horror 45s from the 50s and 60s on the turntables with rhythm ‘n’ ooze, shock and roll, instro-mentals, doom-wop and other assorted dead wax aplenty for all you boils and ghouls to get your thorazine shuffle on to!
Tellers of fortune, Madame Bachand and Madame LeDuke will be unraveling the mysteries of your future with tarot readings!
The crypt doors swing open at 5:30 and the insanity kicks off at 6 PM. You’d have to be SANE to miss it!
CASH NOTE: There is no cover, but please bring cash for food, raffle, and tarot readings.
